Who are the Top Bitcoin Holders?

Before Bitcoin made its introduction back in 2008, this cryptocurrency was completely operating underground. Many were not aware of the kind of digital currency that would take the world by storm, especially with the recent event about a certain inventor’s identity. The idea about having a pure digital currency was only fantasy in the minds of many, including those that are into sci-fi fiction movies.

Bitcoin was the first to execute this kind of concept. It is true – everything that people see today were just imaginations in the past, so it wouldn’t be too surprising to see that a digital currency was going to be made.

Now that it has reached almost a decade since its inception, many iconic people have started investing in Bitcoin, some of them even started when it was first introduced in the industry. No matter how much people would think that Bitcoin is some sort of scam, they will be astonished to see that Bitcoin today has turned a lot of people into wealthy millionaires. Here are those iconic people that invested in Bitcoin and have remained loyal to it.

Satoshi Nakamoto

This guy’s collection with Bitcoin is estimated to amount to $1.1 billion. Turning into a Bitcoin millionaire does seem impossible because mining it in the first place proves difficult and needs a lot of time to ingest and understand the concept behind it. But if you are able to get the flow of how all of these behave, even if Bitcoin is highly volatile, you will get the fruits of your effort by doing so. But it will prove easy when it is someone that has started investing and trading with it all the way from the beginning of the digital currency itself. And that is this man.

Satoshi Nakamoto is somewhat like a mystery in the Bitcoin world. Everybody knows he is the man behind the creation of Bitcoin, but not a single soul really knows this person’s true identity. In fact, people in the bitcoin community speculated that Satoshi Nakamoto is a group of people, not just one. This means that the name itself is just a pseudonym. Somebody did came up and claimed he is Satoshi Nakamoto, an Australian entrepreneur named Craig Wright. However, just like how Nakamoto did once when Bitcoin has gotten the momentum really fast, disappeared and never faced the public again. There are only a few records left associated with Nakamoto, including the email correspondence between this person and the developers of Bitcoin. What everybody knows about this guy is that he currently holds about 1.1 million Bitcoins, which is worth more than $1.1 billion dollars when converted today.

Ross Ulbricht

Bitcoin does seem to show that it has the power to change the world. But, this amazing decentralized Bitcoin also has its own dark, sinister side. The anonymous nature of Bitcoin makes it difficult or impossible to track down transactions. A huge number of black markets started appearing deep in the web that sells illegal drugs, illegal services and lots of contraband. The first that were ever to tap into these was the one made by Dread Pirate Roberts, the Silk Road. Even when before the Bitcoin was well worth over a thousand dollars, Dread Pirate Roberts was already a millionaire in Bitcoin trading.

The FBI tracked down Dread Pirate Roberts last September 2013. The investigation over this man has lead to an American named Ross Ulbricht, who was given a sentence of life imprisonment due to hacking, conspiracy and money laundering to traffic up narcotics. The Silk Road was then shut down by the FBI and they have seized more than 144,000 Bitcoins. The result: FBI was able to obtain one of the largest Bitcoin wallet in the world and it belongs to them now.

Roger Ver

There are some Bitcoin traders that feel love over this cryptocurrency that they can’t help but spread it. Roger Ver, a Bitcoin millionaire has shared his wealth generously just so he can spread the word about Bitcoin. Because of this and his outspoken advocacy about it, Roger Ver was provided with a name “Bitcoin Jesus”. His passion for Bitcoin comes out from his desire that it to rival the fiat currencies. His very first investment was in the company BitInstant, which is his friend’s company.

Roger Ver is also known for being the first startup investor using Bitcoin. Although he was already a successful entrepreneur before he got into Bitcoin, when he did so his riches greatly multiplied. He even donated his millions to charity.

Charlie Shrem

This man is seen by many as the most influential millionaire in the Bitcoin community. He bought a huge quantity of bitcoin when it was first trading very cheaply. When he was 22 years of age, he founded the company BitInstant, which means that he is the friend of Roger Ver who invested in his company using Bitcoin as well. The company became highly successful at first. However, in December 2014, Charlie Shrem was then accused then found guilty of money laundering with The Silk Road, the black market that was seized by FBI. Shrem stated that denied the accusations against me.

After he was released from prison last year, he got right back into his business and then launched up the Intellisys Capital. This firm sells various investment portfolios that are in blockchain companies.

Dave Carlson

Just with the right hardware on hand, bitcoin mining can turn into an amazing profitable venture. Dave Carlson was highly likely the first millionaire in Bitcoin wherein he used the mining process in order to pave his way into riches. After he founded the company named MegaBigPower, which started out in his basement, he started to mine in an industrial magnitude. Carlson then reported that he made more than 8 million each month in the year 2016 alone, just based in his 2,000 square foot establishment warehouse.

Charlie Shrem doesn’t have any bitcoin of his own left at all, and owes quite a few people money. He certainly isn’t a Bitcoin Millionaire.
