While Ethereum is approximately a tenth of the current value of Bitcoin the currency reached its all time high value so far of more than $420. Interest in Ethereum and crypto as a whole has been on a rise lately.

The World Economic Forum released an article titled “You’ve heard of Bitcoin, but what about Ethereum?” which explains some of the fundamentals and difference between Ethereum and Bitcoin. The piece also breaks down on who exactly is buying Ether and who is using it.

The Forum has noted the crypto booming market and that it could be on the cusp of mainstream financial credibility.

Last week, Japan announced that it would issuing Bitcoin backed bonds opening the coin to futures, options, and derivative exchange traded fund contracts.

In the mainstream American press, CNBC has begun having regular segments on crypto portfolio building, BTC vs BTC, and even live technical analysis.

As more and more adoption and media gain interest in the new asset, one wonders how the market will react to this institutional coverage.
